But then I never was one for celebrity - in fact i am predominantly seriously anti-celebrity

I don't think I'm anti-celebrity, but I can relate to being out of touch with the latest TV shows.

The last time I was diligent with keeping up to date on a TV show was Ringer and that was in large part because I'm a huge Buffy fan. Big Grin

Before Ringer I was following House. Before House it was Farscape. With me it seems to be the rarity instead of the norm to be a loyal viewer of a particular TV show. The idea of setting aside time every week just to watch the newest episode is unfamiliar to me.

On a different note, I dreamed last night I was in my car with a nondescript co-worker. Everything was fine until he started to make fun of me for enjoying Disney musicals. Angry

Did anyone catch the TV news about the latest study warning physicians about the dangers of prescribing Testosterone boosters (e.g., AndroGel, etc.). Elevated levels of T greatly increase the chance of heart attacks. I also read somewhere (probably in one of Lotus's research links) that an overly low T level also raises the risk for cardiac arrest. Just wondering what that means for us anti-androgenites. Should we be concerned, or does our increased estrogen level nullify the harmful effect?

How about Fred Gwynne? Car 54, Where Are You? and The Munsters.

Jack Webb? Dragnet

I was a volunteer on the Morongo Valley Fire Department, when Jack's daughter Stacy was killed in an auto collision. I was one of those who responded to the scene.

P.S. That's Morongo Valley, CA

Only the Munsters toll a bell!!! - I hear it for now anyway............

Visited the quack (Dr) today due to conjunctivitis caused by demolishing old stonework but happened to mention the tinnitus I have had in one ear for the last year or so but which has been getting rapidly worse over the last year .. when I talk about 'having a buzz' it is not 'a good thing' AT ALL!!!! Been referred for an MRI.

Don’t like things like this - was considering asking for a hormone scan before all the rest of it cropped up, so left it go for now.

Out of curiosity, I am sure it must be here somewhere, do the effects of NBE quasi estrogens and prolactins show up on a standard hormone test?

Cheers

David

Testosterone boosters blow my mind! Aren't we, as a culture, sex crazed enough as it is? Viagra, Cialis, performance enhancers, size increasers, rape and male sex crimes are commonplace, 20% of females are sexually assaulted in college according to Barack... Let's give the men MORE testosterone - that should help. Good grief! If low T increases my chances of cardiac arrest, so be it. Even so, I've read there are numerous health benefits for castrated males, not the least of which is longer life. Whatever happens to me, I can only say I rather enjoy being freed from the control my sex drive used to have over me. Now if I could just get that damn junk between my legs removed. If it wasn't for it's usefulness in fashioning a "kitten", I can actually imagine myself removing it on my own!

Sounds like you've joined the dark side then lol.... My therapist asked me if I had thoughts about cutting it off myself one session.I hate it but not that much. It would just end up gross...er.

On a side note, I think heart risk of the stress induced by normal male levels of testosterone completely outweigh the risk of it being low....but that's just me.

RE: Random Thoughts - flamesabers - 01-02-2014

Doodle,

If I'm not mistaken, I think one of the reasons why castrated males tend to have a longer life is they're far less likely to engage in risky and dangerous behavior.

Sarah,

The dark side? You know I made Darth Vader's theme song my ringtone last week. Tongue

If you tried to cut if off yourself, you could bleed to death. Sad

As far as heart risk goes, my father and his father both died of heart related diseases. If pursuing NBE stops me from suffering the same fate, that's all the more reason to grow breasts. Cool

My mom has expressed concern about the same happening to me. I have wondered if she ever found out my pursuit of NBE she would rationalize it as some bizarre attempt to lower my testosterone levels to the point I don't have to worry much about dying a premature death from heart disease.
