A huge storm decimated our area last night and we, along with 165,000 other people in the area lost power as many trees toppled knocking down power lines and demolishing houses. We were lucky and had no damage but who knows how long power will be out. Typing on my cell in my car...sigh... my presence may be slight here for a day or so.
Hugs
Sammie
Sammie,
I hope that your power has been restored!
We also had a series of storms here in Phoenix over the weekend. As of this morning, there were still folks without power since Saturday, which is not good when the temps are in the 100's.

No such luck, Michelle. Sitting here in the dark typing on my cell...lol. They intimated it may be restored sometime tonight but. I am not holding my breath.
God, I hate this. I need to get ready for this weekend!

Now there is a message I can really relate to.

Ugh! Sorry to hear it.
Is there anywhere you can escape to that has power?

Well this week has gone from bad to awful. My wife's step father, one of the greatest guys I ever met and like a second father to me is dying, and liable to go any moment. Needless to say my Toronto trip is cancelled. I told Sarah, I want to cry but I am just numb.
And still no power.

And Sarah was absolutely no help. Sorry. I don't do well with death. I tend to shut it out completely and distance myself from those approaching it. I literally watched my dad die and don't care to ever repeat that experience!

I'm so sorry, Sammie. A father dying is a tragic event. There can be no question about your need to be there. I know how much you were looking forward to your trip to Toronto, too. That can only add to very bad week all around. My thoughts are with you.
Hugs,
Clara
