My 2 cents:
I have taken PM inconsistently in the last year, at various dosage. Before PM I used flaxoil and red clover for a few months.
While I was on Flax + RC I lost most of my function and didn't get much in terms of breasts. At the time I didn't care too much because my wife was pregnant and sex was not gonna happen anyway. But I got scared and stopped everything. Function returned after a couple of months.
Towards the end of pregnancy I started PM out of curiosity. With PM powder (1000 / 1500 mg/day) and some RC 430mg here and there I, again, lost function quite quickly. I stopped again and after about 3 months I regained stamina, size etc. I hadn't gained much in the chest department but I started budding and some "pointy" shape remained.

9 months after that, about 5 months ago, I tried Oxford Vitality PM 250mg at 10:1 concentration. In theory this should be the same as 2500 mg of PM. Feelings in my chest increased. Sex wasn't in my mind, my wife was away with our baby for a month to her parents', but I wouldn't say that I wasn't horny or performing. I had to stop quite soon because I could really feel a change in my chest and I had to go pick up my wife to the seaside... During a fetish party a friend asked me if I was doing anything to my chest, so the little growth I had wasn't just in my mind.

About a month ago I restarted, you know how they say that PM is addictive... I took one 250 mg OV pills per day during the weekdays only for the last 3 weeks. I can feel and see changes. Clearly. My chest bounces and a colleague made some jokes. The funny part is that this time again I have not lost any function "downstairs", actually, I am constantly horny and my orgasms are longer and better. My wife uses nipple stimulation to make me come in bed, and it works a lot!
So, I don't know if it's because I dropped everything but PM, or because I changed from Ainterol to OV, because I got used to PM, or whatever, but now I am getting growth and sexual performances at the same time. Bingo!
i am getting tiredness and some sore muscles and bones from PM, that's why I am taking a week off, but the decrease in sexual performances doesn't happen any more.

Just be careful, i know of at least one person suffering from this after taking PM.

Some people are more susceptible than others.

The link you supplied had no discussion of an association between Pueraria Mirifica and fibromyalgia.  Can you source a reference that goes beyond an anecdote?

Sorry no, all i can tell you is i personly know one person this happened to. When they stopped taking PM the issues cleared up. After starting PM again the problems came back.  There have been a few threads about medical issues being caused by high amount of PM usage. This is one of the reasons i always sugest spreading the intake through out the day, and then stopping for a few days.
