I developed Fasciculations a number of years ago after a car accident that did a real number on my neck and back. One thing I have noticed is they are more active the more coffee or other products/drinks I consume with Caffeine in them. Mine are normally about 1/2 again as active as yours are and involve the entirety of both calf muscles. Recently that has started to spread to my thigh muscles as well as the injury to my back has dis-improved.
If you drink a lot of coffee/caffeinated tea/energy drinks etc.. try cutting back some or all together and see if that helps. When I have had to curtail my caffeine intake due to medical issues my Fasiculations also decreased, though they never went away totally.
