I read somewhere that for some, it does.

Its difficult to pinpoint it but it seemed to help me somehow do it more easily, altgough it stiil takes focus and willpower to make it happen, especially if you want to be stealth.

I have looked at a few on-line tutorials about achieving a female voice. The thing is, most of the "voice models" claim that once you achieve the pitch, etc it takes more effort to drop back to "male voice".

If I EVER get the guts to go out en femme, I would think it would be smart to at least sound like a woman with a husky voice if nothing else. It could avoid some confrontations???

Topical administration bypasses liver metabolites so my body gets the full intended dose, and my serum estradiol level was 156 the last time I had my blood drawn. Women possessing ovaries fluctuate between 100 and 200 depending on the phase of their cycle, so I'm right in that perfect zone of natural female levels and feeling GREAT!

My symptoms are simply what I should have suffered through during puberty if I'd been born with the right gonads.

I would suspect you would be doing fine then. Do you mean you have mood swings, cause I remember being that way when I was in puberty.

It may help you modulate, I have noticed my Adams Apple has shrunk, with that I been able to change my voice a little. But it still takes practice, and is not easy.

Interesting. A person really has to look for my adam's apple too. I made All State Concert Choir as a Tenor. So, who knows, maybe it will be slightly less difficult for me then. Nice Point Janet, never thought about the adams apple size etc.

How long did it take for you mentally to adjust to HRT?

How long did it take for you to REALLY notice your body changing?

1) Initially I experienced budding pains on herbs. When the skin began stretching, it was quite painful lol (especially around the areolas). Presently, I still get sore breasts, for me that signals growth, which has been incremental while on both (NBE/HRT).

2) Managing the emotional changes is still ongoing, I do notice how depression can creep up on you rather quickly. To answer your question, however, I'd say it takes a couple of weeks adjusting to pharma strength E2 (speaking from my own experience).

3) 3-4 months on HRT (noting bigger changes to hips and facial features during this timeframe).

Sorry for the lateness of my reply to you Lotus. You have been my strongest ally and earliest friend on this board.

I sort of miss the intensity of my budding pains. Stupid, huh?

OMG, I hope I do not have to worry about depression. I already fight that. My therapist and doctor both think it's due to my GID.

YAY, I am hoping my fat shifts more. I can fit into my dresses better and blouses then.

But, as I said. I found a local TG specialist and going to see him in mid October. I really don't know if I will go Pharma HRT or if it will even be offered due to some of my medical conditions. But we will investigate anyways.

No, nothing noticable directly, But it has altered my inclination to do so, and so now I`v noticed (as have others) that my voice is becoming a little more femme without effort.
I will point out that I used to talk on CB radio for Hours as a female before, so it`s not That hard to gradually get back there again on daily basis now.
but no, there`s no Physical thing that I can feel happening and can still do my male voice if I wanted to (and I don`t).

Thanks Katie. So, am I right to assume what you are suggesting that it's as much mental as physical then?

I beleive so, yes, or at least for Me anyway.
Oddly, Yesterday, I spent almost the entire afternoon talking in a higher register than "Normal", no apparent trigger or reason either, it wasn`t doing any harm so I just went with it LOL Big Grin
Today I`m pretty much back to "normal" again.

I am trying to find help on the internet. Not sure how credible some are but figure I would compare and combine what they all seem to agree with.. I know a lot of older women have huskier voices due to age, smoking, drinking you name it. But I have to feel confident in my speech if I am ever going to go out in female form.
