Well, one article I read said they were Originally made for Males with Gynemastia[sp?] in Japan which is apparently wide spread due to their soy intake.
(Also GID is apparently quite widespread also in Japan)
from there they were apparently turned into a "Metrosexual" fashion thing....
That's interesting! They have extremely high stress levels, so I can imagine that this could affect a high proportion of pregnancies.
I've never understood metrosexual any more than twitter!
