Perfume

#1

Lol, this seems like a pretty random topic for this site, even for me to be posting it. Tongue
Anyways, I though I should just ask other people for opinions.

I need some kind of mist/spray or perfume of some sort. I need to find scents and ideas. I used to wear Bath & Body Works body mist, but I've come to realize the smell doens't stay on me for even an hour. Lol, I'm one of those girls (I think there are others...) that wants a "scent" to be identified with. I don't want any of the Victoria's Secret Pink sprays, because that's what almost every girl in my school wears. I want to stand out persfume wise Smile.

Yeah, so I'm looking around. I kind of want something more on the "sexy/attetntion-grabbing/yummy" smell. If you catch my drift. I don't like floral stuff so that's not an option.Blush

Any of you have perfumes you like/dislike/recommend?

I don't really use mist/sprays anymore, since they never seem to last on me without layering a perfumed lotion (of a similar scent) underneath. I started buying my perfumes from Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab years ago and have never been happier.

You'll get about 5ml of perfume oil, IIRC. But a little goes a long way; I just add drops to my inner wrists, throat and hair and it sometimes lasts all day. I still have 5mls around that I bought 2-3 years ago that haven't been completely used up. You can order a sample pack instead of just full bottles, too.

If you wanted to try, these are popular sexy scents:

Dorian (under Sin & Salvation, on the menu to the left of the site) Reviews http://www.bpal.org/topic/10620-dorian/
O (Ars Amatoria) Reviews http://www.bpal.org/topic/521-o/
Snake Oil (Ars Amatoria) Reviews http://www.bpal.org/topic/30-snake-oil/

Or just wander around in the recommendations for sexy scents on their forum: http://www.bpal.org/topic/11120-sexy-smu...l-in-here/

The Snake Oil sounds interesting, spiced up the average vanilla smell. I can't find it on the site though, know where it is?

Thanks! I'll keep this site in mind. Smile

Their Web site is in dire need of a revamp, so I don't blame you. @_@

http://www.blackphoenixalchemylab.com/lp.html I'd just do a ctrl+f and type in "snake oil".

Thanks!! Big Grin
Haha, yes it is. The search bar was unavailable and there was no way I was going to look through every page for each scent... >_<
They have interesting smells, though I wish I could smell them all and then chose what I want to try... Smells like to either change a lot on me, or fade away completely- really quickly.
I'm trying the ctrl-f and search, but I keep getting "No results found." Huh

How do people get the samples?

I'm finding all kinds of scents I want to try. Big Grin

My cart keeps getting emptied each day. :/?
I can't find where any sample box is. Where is it

Hmm, like your cart empties whatever you had in it from the day before? That might have something to do with your Web browser settings, since BPAL doesn't have user registration to save your cart or anything. But I'm not sure.

It's under "Imp's Ears" on the menu, in the bottom section. I could've sworn it was labeled more simply, but I guess not. @_@ They call their samples imp's ears. I always thought that was kinda weird and would confuse new customers, so I went back to assuming they'd call them something that would make more sense.

They have different kinds of sample packs. The one you want is above "PACK OF PANACEA IMP'S EARS". They don't have a subheader for it, for some reason (LOL. At this point, I'm willing to offer to revamp their site for them). After you click "purchase single sample vial" and it goes to your cart, just type in the samples you want. + you'll also get some freebie samples with every purchase. I forget how exactly they do it, but I remember getting something like 1-3 random sample vials with every $15-20 (like a full bottle or six samples) I bought.

Oh, yeah. Do you like Fall / Halloween scents at all? They just released their limited editions scents for that today. The bottles are more expensive ($23) when you buy something limited edition, but some of the Fall / Halloween stuff is really neat. However, I don't think you can get samples of them. But they're available until the end of November. Might be a better idea to do whenever you were planning, then try some of the Halloween stuff later based on what scents you like, once you get your order.

http://blackphoenixalchemylab.com/limited.html ctrl+f for "halloween", since some of their old LEs are still available.

Thanks you so much!
I was reading review on the forum, and there are so many scents I want to try!
LOL, I was thinking to help them out too xD.
Yay!! Now I can get some samples! Big Grin

I wish they had either some kind of membership thing, or even better- a wishlist. -__- or just a less confusing site...

I like musky oriental scents, and overall dark, woodsy scents. The type of perfumes that'd pair well with a fitted coat. If you catch my drift. Sort of seductive scents.

Lucky #6 by Liz Clairborne(My signature scent for fall. I love how the scent gets sweeter and more homey as the day progresses)

Star in Black pour femme by Estelle Ewen(Signature winter scent, it's strong which I like. I randomly give off the smell when I'm wearing it. The sudden burst makes people go, "Who's perfume is that!" It is certainly a sexy perfume.)

Boss by Hugo Boss for her(expensive, getting hard to find)

Provacative Woman by Elizabeth Arden(as the name suggests, it's good for going out haha)

But in the summers I like lighter scents

Green Tea Scent Spray by Elizabeth Arden. My signature summer scent. I've never gotten tired of it. It's really crisp

Eternity for her by Calvin Klein. I know it's mature for a young lady but it smells so good! My kindergarten teacher wore this and whenever I spray it on, the memories of kingder come flooding back. It smells unique on everyone so it's attention grabbing in the sense, it's something they've never smelled before.
