A Cautionary Tale for Autogynephiles

#11

The Daily Mail was never good at accuracy and does tend towards sensationalism. I would not be surprised at all if they exaggerate the details you describe, but I'd be very surprised if the whole thing were fiction.

The old pictures don't appear faked, and the business about the NHS refusing a reversal rings true. (I've always been amazed that they pay for genital re-engineering which isn't needed to be convincing on the street, but not cosmetic surgery which is.)

I've read elsewhere about reversals being requested, and Dr. Vitale's "Testerone Toxicity" paper details a scenario caused when testosterone causes the desire to feminise, and anti-androgens/estrogen removes it.

So I wouldn't write it off totally. If it were a hoax, I'm sure it would have been outed by now.

Following on from this very sad story, the BBC are today running a much happier one about Christine Jorgennson.

There is a fascinating link from it, to a summary of TG through history and across cultures.

Though technically Jorgenson wasn't the first even though the BBC claims she was. Not by at least a couple years by my best recollection.

She was the first one to become world news though.
