Facial Hair Removal

#1

Hello all,

I'm curious to see who is interested in facial hair removal. Is it primarily the transsexuals? Or is most bio-males pursuing NBE also want to have a clean and smooth face? I have no plans to transition but getting rid of all my hair has been a desire for me since my teen years. I've made a lot of progress in this regard and I'm happy with the results.

My beard is fairly light and easy to shave, and losing the ability to grow a beard altogether is not in the cards right now. I'm an actor and I might need it at some point. I am content to simply epilate everything from the neck down. I can put up with shaving every 2-3 days. But I certainly relate to the inclination.Smile

Well, you know I hate it lol

Not sure the laser did a whole lot yet, but I guess its just one treatment. Time will tell.

I am betting you will see a difference. How many treatments did you sign up for?

I went for "would like to if", but my "ifs" are a little different.

It's been on my mind for awhile to look into; laser clinics seem to be about as common as Starbucks around here!

I'm curious what Flame is doing - laser?

I got 4 more. Flame's been doing laser, Jamixoxo.

On the bright side, all the redness/soreness was gone the next day. Maybe I can talk her into cranking up the power next time lol...shit hurts either way after all.

Like Jamixoxo, my 'ifs' are a little different. And my beard seems to be becoming less obtrusive without any specific action on my part. Smile

I'd laser it if it were cheaper, hell I'd laser everything. For now though I'll rock my light growth beard, because I hate shaving, I'm lazy, and it's been really cold here lately (relatively cold for the Greater Philadelphia region).

I've done 11 treatments of laser for my facial hair.

Sarah, with each session the specialist I saw increased the level of power. I think this should be done gradually. I doubt rapidly turning up the power is a shortcut for killing your facial hair any faster. So long as you're feeling pain and can smell the burnt hair, you're making progress.

Have to qualify my entry a little bit.
1. Facial hair would be the starting point. Why stop there?
2. Newer lasers and combo lasers are now able to "kill the gray away", but will need a bit more info on that.
3. Will need a good conversation with a tech, or some other intelligent being before beginning, as hair roots are somewhat like plant roots. Inasmuch as plant roots prevent soil erosion, human hair roots, especially facial, play a part in how much our skin "sags". Then again, I could always go for a facelift when I turn 70?
