Josephine's Program

#1

Day 0: 8th May 2014

So here goes! I picked up a package this morning and it was my first order of PM. I popped my first 500mg capsule about 9 hours ago and so far I haven't experience any ill effects (early days though!)

The plan is to stay on 500mg/day for a week and then increase the dose by 500mg each week if I'm still feeling OK. I am tempted to take another tonight though... Wink

I received some SP earlier this week and have been taking it for about 3 days now. Not sure if I should continue that or stick with just PM for now.

I will keep this post up to date with my current plan as time goes on.

Thank you everyone!

Congratulations on starting your NBE program, Jo. This will be the start of somethings big..hee hee. I like your idea to ramp up slowly, but I would take it one herb at a time. That way, you could even shorten up the intervals between increasing your PM dosage if all feels good, and if you then note any adverse reactions, it's easy to back off some.

Why did you choose SP? Many of the girls here question the efficacy of SP. I think Spearmint is a better choice either as a tea or in capsules.

Anyway, I'm excited for you. In a few weeks you will be feeling the effects of PM. OMG, it's something you will never forget!

I bought it initially since I saw a lot of people used SP, but later found out that it might not be effective (and is anti-estrogenic). So I might have to write it off and use spearmint instead.

I decided to take another 500mg tonight. So far feeling fine so maybe I could ramp up quicker and slow down if I need to. I will stay on 1000mg for a few days.

Hi Josephine,

If you already have the SP, I would say just use it. I had good results for some two to three years using essentially nothing but SP and PM. For a long time on this board SP was the go to AA, and really only began to fall from favor fairly recently as more research was added to the general store of knowledge.

If I might suggest though, I would say go ahead with 1000 mgs of PM daily now, and ramp up to 2000 over the next week or so. 1000 is the basic amount recommended for GG's. Conventional wisdom here has always been the bio males need at least twice that for growth.

I sped up my program from my original plan and I'm now on 2g of PM per day. So far I haven't really felt any negative side-effects except a little bit of mild back ache for a short while. I haven't had any headaches. I've also taken spearmint tea on occasion but I found it makes me really sleepy, so I sometimes have a cup before bed as a sleep aid (since I suffer from insomnia).

I took some comparison photos tonight and was surprised that there is already a noticeable increase in size of my areolas. I did notice that they were protruding a little more than normal but comparing the photos really shows the difference! There also seems to be a little extra fat buildup as my breasts wobble a bit more than they used to, but it's not noticeable yet in photos. I'm quite pleased to get some confirmation that this is actually working after only 2 weeks.

I'm now up to 2500mg PM and 2000mg SP on day 31.

I haven't noticed any physical changes from a few weeks ago. My nipples do hurt a little bit if I mess about with them.

The biggest thing I have noticed though is my sex drive has fallen off a cliff. I used to masturbate daily, sometimes several times a day, but I have masturbated only twice in the last few weeks and mainly because I was curious to see if I could still do so and not because I felt the need to. I also seem to have lost all interest in porn (I'm single and celibate anyway so no change to my already non-existent sex life).

I'm on a break as of today. I've been feeling a bit down lately and wonder if this is due to the lower testosterone. Maybe this is not the right thing for me.

Hi Josephine,
Might I suggest just reducing or eliminating the SP alone first? Try just Pm for awile and see what happens? I never liked taking large amounts of SP for that very reason. When I did use it I stuck to just around 500 mgs a day.
Just a thought.

It's possible, Jo, but I wouldn't jump to any conclusions just yet. I used to be rock steady even tempered emotionally before hormones; now I do have occasional emotional swings. It comes with the territory, I guess.

How long are you going to break?
