Completely agree that even with NBE one must accept that the loss of "male" function is a genuine possibility. Odds being more likely that it will be gone than one retaining it.
Also agree on stop start not being a great idea, but I didn't know that it had an impact on the traits of both genders. Instead of stop I'd suggest slowing down. Even if one is committed to the end, the slow train will yield better overall results than trying to push the envelope.
