Does being young make it easier to maintain erections while on herbal or medical HRT?

#1

The reason I ask is I have had trouble getting erections on fenugreek while also taking either white peony or red reishi. And I just started this project!

Yet you can find lots of young transfemme people on porn sites with perky breasts and very hard penises. So what makes it so easy for them?

Edit: I'm in my 50s.

I think many of those on porn sites with “perky breasts” have implants. Everything I’ve read here about NBE tells me that growing breasts with NBE leads to genital shrinkage, and many of these large breasted trans people have large penises.

Hi insfca,
I can only speak for myself and tell you that I have also read others say yes, erectile disfunction is very common but it doesn't happen to everyone,  as for why it effects some and not others may have to do with the efficiency of the E production and not age.

The good thing is that so far everyone that has experienced it finds theor erections come back after stopping NBE, sometimes quickly sometimes slowly.

I supplement with daily cialis and I even wake up with morning wood once in a while, but my scrotum and penis are still tiny and pulled in when not erect, which is ok because it makes my panties more comfortable.

On my behalf I have to say, "it happened". I had earlier some erection difficulties, but acceptable erections with Cialis or Viagra. When I started with PM and RR, in addition to getting some breast development, my erections virtually disappeared. Help from Cialis or Viagra was not enough. If we scale erection strength 0..5, where 0=limp, and 5 is maximally stiff, while 4 being minimum for penetration, I got to 2 or 3 but it didn't last. Before my "breast project" I was getting usually 4 and sometimes even 5.

I took a break in my "breast project" about two weeks ago, and now I had first time some "morning wood" - and I hope with some pill I get proper erections, too, when needed. Have to try soon with my lovely wife Wink

It seems to me that I have to make a choice between boobs and erections. Sad

I've dropped all anti-androgens and will see how it goes. I am getting morning erections again after about 4 days.

If it takes longer to reach my goal without AAs, that's fine with me. As some have said elsewhere on this site, slow and steady.

All I want are small breasts and no other changes. Hopefully I can get there over the next year with frequent breaks to feed my poor penis the testosterone it needs!

Hi insfca . . . .

I'm just curious if you're taking any PM at all? I was in my mid-50s when I started NBE, and early on I stopped taking AA's because after all, PM is an AA. I've long said since that if I could go back and start over, I'd start taking RR again. I'd also have to add that in the beginning, I was taking too high of a dose of PM, and that most likely contributed to tuberous breasts early on. But Lotus has long said that DHT is the enemy of breast growth, and no herb stops DHT better than RR.

I've long heard that many body builders take FG because not only does it build breasts, but it also boosts T. There was a former member here a few years ago that was a gay male body builder and FG was his main herb. I do remember that. Guy in Lingerie, I think was his name. Maybe you can search some of his post history and glean some info tailored to your efforts. He was a real nice guy. I often wondered what became of him.

Anyway, I first stopped taking AA's for the express reason of maintaining erections, and I wish I had not done that, because I believe it contributed to developmental issues.

With Tadalafil & Sildenafil (Cialis & Viagra) easily obtained from the in-house pharmacy or through insurance options, Erectile Dysfunction is not the NBE/HRT issue it used to be for me.

I started NBE seven years ago, and even at a dose of 1,500mg, I had erection issues. I've been on HRT for three years now, and I've since added back both WP & RR to my program. While morning wood is no longer a thing, I can still get an erection with some work and with Viagra it's very easily obtained. So, it could just be an age thing that happens to men our age.

As far as transgender porn stars go, I once read on Dr. Powers Reddit Forum that he treats several Trans porn stars and if memory serves me, I believe it was said that the day/week of the video shoot, they take a shot of T and/or an application of Androcur to help things along.

They most likely get a much more tailored program through him than we do here on a DIY Herbal Forum.

Best of Luck to you.

Hi Stevenator_,

I'm about to start PM and plan to use it for 4 weeks.

From what I gather from your post, you're saying FG is probably better to avoid ED and possibly also tuberous breast?

Is tuberous breast really an issue in the early stages and for someone like me whose goals are fairly modest compared to many on this forum?

I thought uneven development, misshapen appearance, etc was largely hereditary. Is that not so?

Also you mention that PM is itself an AA. If so, what's the benefit of adding in RR?

Thanks for your input.

Edit: In regards to the porn stars I was referencing with killer breasts and hard dicks, they are more or less DIY'ers on Twitter and OnlyFans. After I posted, I thought that probably they are using some form of ED drug. But I also think it isn't unreasonable that their relative youth (all 20 somethings) means that their T is just higher than that of someone my age even with T blockers, which many of whom aren't actually on. Lots of them are non-binary types who don't intend to transition beyond feminizing and developing breasts.

Hi Insfaca ....

First, any advice I give, I'd like you or anyone for that matter, to refer to the research threads that Lotus has posted. Namely the Project-X, Anti-Androgens and Breast Growing Notes threads. That's where the real science is located.

I do wish Lotus was here, because sometimes I don't dot my i's and cross my t's.

Early on, I was on waaay too high a dose of PM, and it is my understanding that is a caused of my underdevelopment I'm now struggling to correct. While PM is an AA in itself, it's my understanding that it does not affect DHT of which RR stops like no other herb. This info might not be 100% tailored to your needs. I personally see no issues with you taking FG for your particular program.

NBE is a rather complicated process and as it is said, "everybody is different".

As always, it's best to study the research threads that Lotus has posted. I wish you all the success you can get!

I'm going out on a limb... as usual. Take it with a grain of salt.

Way back when I started all of this, around age 50, I was taking only Fenugreek, somewhere between 1200mg and 2400mg.
No AA or any other supplements.

IIRC, I was getting some slow growth. I do clearly remember my muscles were HARD.
Having been a body builder on and off through my life, it really impressed me.
I cannot remember how erections were affected.
I was using the GNC brand. No idea how it compares to other brands.

One thing I really liked about FG is that it made my urine smell like maple syrup.
When I could smell that, I always knew that I was getting a good effective dose, or so I thought.

I'm starting to come around to the idea that if your goals are specific enough (full transition, A-cups like me, not sure and need guidance, etc, etc), medical HRT is probably not only faster but, shall we say, less risky and more accurate in outcome.

Meanwhile, I think herbal supplements to produce the changes we're seeking here deserve respect in the form of caution. These herbs are perhaps seen as harmless or perhaps not very risky but it's clear from the experiences I've read (and experienced, see above!) that they can produce a lot of undesired permanent outcomes and temporary side effects.

All I can say is know what you are ingesting and the possible downsides before or at least as you move forward. That's probably best achieved by going slow and as I've heard elsewhere on this forum, listening to your body.
