I also posted this in the Pueraria Mirifica Forum but hope that by posting it here also I might increase my chances of getting a response.
I am considering giving PM another try. I have some capsules left over from nearly 2 years ago. Does anyone know if they would still be good?
I certainly can accept if they just become less effective as I'd just take extra, but would have problems if they became toxic.
Thanks.

Hi Erica,
My container of PM bulk powder has an expiration date of Aug 2016. That's more than 3 years from the purchase date.

Hello Erica.
My bottles of pm capsules have an expiration date of three years from the manufacturing date. I'm not sure about potency though.

If the bottle is unopened, most supplements are good for at least two years from date of manufacture. If the bottle has an expiration date, then go by that to assess potency. In most cases, all that happens over time is a loss of potency, but there are things that can become potentially toxic such as aspirin and ibuprofen. I don't know if PM can become toxic, but if the color seems off or it smells different than it used to, I'd be inclined to toss it. Otherwise, at worst it might be a little weaker than it was when purchased, and that might actually be a good thing when starting over after a long break since it will make the ramp-up process a little easier.
