Just wondered how any of you broached the subject of your desire to be female with your family? As I am 51 I have three grown up children plus a nine year old Granddaughter. My elderly mother (76) and her partner live next door and I am officially their carer. Consequently this makes it hard to be the woman I want to be unless I am in the house on my own late at night. I am getting impatient because I have wanted to be this for most of my life but until recently never had the "guts" to do anything about it. I have told one friend and her husband who are both supporting me but I fear if I tell the others I will lose them all. How do you tell a 9 year old that her Granddad wants to be her Grandma? or your elderly mother you want to be her daughter?
