Julie - I've found that the Estrodiol patches hold on very well in the shower as long as you apply them on clean skin first.  I've even run the razor over them and rubbed body cream over them and they don't loosen their grip much at all so yes, they do have a really good adhesive on them. 

Now, if you have really oily skin, you might want to run a bit of an alcohol rub first to clean the area first before applying, but other than that you should be ready to rock and roll!

Yes, but they loose their hold once you start to sweat.
So if you work in a humid environment then the efficiency is less than 100%.

When I was using the nicotine patch to quit smoking, I found the same issue Janet did- when I started to sweat they didn't stick too well- I ended up taping them in place with medical tape

mine stay in place, like the patch as it by passes the liver then BAM into the blood stream, stay safe and happy new year (2021)

Been using patches for a few years now. Since I got used to not using exfoliating glove over the top of them not had a single patch come loose.

Skin does need to be washed before applying fresh patch, I put my fresh one on after shower and before moisturising.
