I heard all sorts of opinions about this in the past.
Many said that the bra has nothing to do with it.
Others say that it's a temporary flesh dosplacement similar to what you get on the skin of your fingers after wearing a ring for weeks in the same position.
Finally there are people that say that thus is what training bras for girls are for, and that if you grow new tissue while wearing a bra, that tissue will stabilise in the direction given by the bra. Similar to how in Japan they grow square watermelons. (Fruits, not boobs) (Actually it would be cool if someone tried wearing a cubic bra for a few years and see if their boobs grow up square
)

I wear a bra every day, maybe its just my breasts getting more mature, but they are definitely more shaped.

I've noticed that wearing a bra every day for 8-10 hours and some times more. That they do have a better shape but Im wondering if maybe the bra itself is pushing more fat into place and " training it" ?
Either way it's a win

Bra manufacturers are only able to claim and do claim that the bra will change shape only when worn rather than contribute to longer term effects, in addition past research suggests that wearing a bra makes no difference to breast sag in the longer term and in fact it can actually have negative effects on breast sag due to weakening of the supporting tendons.

I cant say other than occasional back and neck ache which I have fixed by changing posture and how I sleep that I have any issues without wearing a bra.....indeed mine have remained very perky.
Wearing a bra is more a societal and cultural thing than anything else although maybe some women will benefit from wearing one I dont think there is any scientifically proven benefit, its more likely an perceived benefit. I would concede there might be a mental benefit from having them reshaped by the bra so they appear bigger or more pushed up or that some people would feel undressed without one but thats about it.
Am in no rush to start wearing one either, to me its not a defining thing as to whether I feel female or not - theres a whole argument that its just enforcing societal norms by wearing one but thats perhaps a little outside the scope of this forum - its not philosophical nexus after all!

Bra wearing for me is just to feel good or feel normal. But there is no help with growth.
I have read that one breast grows more than the other. I read this is possibly caused by sleeping on your side. This was true for me my lower sleeping side was larger. But for the past few month I forced myself to switch sleeping sides. Also I apply cream or vaseline and massage as I go to sleep. My breasts are evening out.
