Reishi/thrombosis

#1

I am wondering how effective the blood thinning properties of the reishi mushroom are in preventing deep vein thrombosis.
My legs don't hurt, but sometimes I feel a throbbing in my thighs. Maybe you need to increase the reishi? (google translation)

I do not make comments often, but when a person's health is involved I make an exception.  There is an old joke that goes something like: A person who acts as his own lawyer has a fool for a client.  I think that this saying can be turned around to say: A person who acts as his own doctor has a fool for a patient. I took my symptoms of leg pain to the internet (WebMD) and discovered that I potentially had a DVT.  WebMD told me to go to the hospital immediately.  Long story short: I would have been dead if I tried to take something OTC from a drug store to stop the leg pain (DVT).  I had no other symptoms except for the leg pain (typical of a DVT.)  The doctor at the last minute before she released me decided to do a CT scan with contrast of my lungs even though I had no symptoms in my chest (e.g. low O2 levels). The CT scan found 10 major blood clots in my lungs.  She was amazed that I was still alive.  IMO, don't be your own doctor.

I'll stop PMing for a few days. I can't talk to my doctor about this. I live in a small town. Everyone knows everyone. Medical confidentiality is useless. But maybe it won't be a problem. To be on the safe side, I had poppy seed honey bread for breakfast today. It was very tasty and poppy seeds are blood thinners. Turmeric is similar.

You don't need to tell him what is the suspected cause (though you should). Better lie to him about parents, aunts, grandparents having had clots than rely on RR or turmeric.

as I said I did not have any pain in my legs I had a bump by my knee that stuck out a little it was something new, my HRT doctor told me when I started on my Meds to watch for bumps and pain in my legs, PLEASE take care of yourself,
you said (everything is the same. No more symptoms) it could be the blood clot move to a new spot in your leg the best thing to do is get it check out, as your breast growth could come to an END if you DIE, I have scans done on my legs every 6 months only takes 40 minutes for the test, but it could save life as well as yours.

this is for everyone if you think you may have a blood clot go get it checked it could save your life !!!!!!!!!!
