Using BO in addition to HRT?

#11

(21-05-2025, 03:47 PM)Is adding Fenugreek (Swanson Fenugreek Extract (50% saponins)) to HRT (EV, 2 mg every 3.5 days) and Swanson Ovarian Glandular also compatible? Wrote:  Thanks!
I don't think it is? Fenugreek mimics estrogen so it would fight over the HRT (good Estradiol) for limited estrogen receptors in your body?

Hold on... The speculation about receptor conflicts is flying a bit too high here now. Most of the time there will be no problem taking phytoestrogenic herbs on side of HRT, that's typically a total non issue. Steer clear of PM because of blood clot problems. But others just fenugreek or goat's rue and so on seem to be totally fine. The doses involved aren't supposed to be fistfulls of pills every day, rather taking just enough to get the positive effects.

For example Goat's Rue boosts prolactin levels and can help building breast tissue, it is some times given to expectant mothers who have problems with their milk supply. Doesn't seem to be fucking up their estrogen receptors much does it?

Most of the time it seems that possible receptor conflicts are so minor or non existent that it wont cause any problems growing boobs. I presume much higher doses would be needed for that than any typical supplementation.

Oh really? I was under the notin that phtoestrogenic herbs would impede HRT? If that's the case I may also supplement Fenugreek. Do you know a good dosage for that too?
