My BO regime which I've added to my HRT regime is BO 1500mg(6caps/day) and PG 240mg(3caps/day) split morning noon and night. Anything less doesn't feel like it's doing much.
These are Swanson Ovarian Glandular and their Pituitary Glandular.
I'm on 7.5mg Oestrogel, which is quite high by itself, I didn't want to have the BO cause anything to lose effectiveness by competing with the E but I'm not sure if BO works like that. My stockpile of BO and MG/PG will last me a good 3 months if I'm more moderate with dosage (probably along the lines of 1x PG/MG day and 4x BO) provided there's no adverse effects of mixing with E

Hi LisaM
As far as I can tell, BO works different to E as I've never found any evidence to say that it does.

Licorice - Anti-androgenic and activates alpha and beta estrogen receptors and blocks 5-ar - Strong, but take in moderation!

Thanks for the awesome thread! Why does I need to take with moderation?

Taking Licorice can increase your blood pressure. Monitor your BP if you take Licorice. There's DGL Licorice which doesn't have the risk of raising BP. And, if someone has diabetes or are overweight I would advise to steer clear of LR. Menia, you fit (and looking great).

Licorice root is for short term use, (4-6 weeks), though I'd monitor blood pressure. As always, check with a medical professional before beginning new supplements.
Reishi should be standardized, the cost will vary.....you can find polysaccharides standardized from 10 to 30%, triterpenes around zero to be @ 7-8%.

Honestly I think green tea extract is better because it promotes aromatase in addition to inhibiting DHT. Though caffeine-free GTE is preferable imo.
Green tea blocks type 1 5-alpha-reductase (5AR) too.
