Grim reading, frighting or reality ?

you will be fishing for some time finding anything positive in that article but

I think it should be there even if it shocks one of us off the course of carrying on down a slippery path,

however it has truth in it but not as black and white to all,

if you read other forums , at times it is shockingly fast how some girls had almost no trans feelings then Bang the bell tolled and with a year or 2 into full time transition and a nuclear effect on their lives,

true if the bell tolled for them it would have happened any ie from

zero to shero,

but the one point to make is for some of us the bell will toll ?

so are we staving the bells call by modulating on nbe/synths ie by tacklingit head on as it starts to tremor or accelerating it by taking nbe/synths,

The bell call does not happen to most perhaps ??????

but when it or if calls, willpower certainly will not stop it and that is indeed quite frightening

Julie sis,

you're right. Maybe this article really should be here. After all, it is not good to remain in our comfort zone forever. By doing so, we would not be able to move forward.

And about NBE / HRT. Well, I tend to think that urge to pursuit NBE or HRT may be the symptom. It means that at certain point we are not willing to accept that our body is not in sync with our inner blueprint and therefore we need to modify our bodies. On the other side it is true that there is growing body of research showing effect of HRT on brain function and structure:
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/27490457
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/27744092
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/27236082
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/27479654

And a review (Unfortunately I don't have access to fulltext):
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/26766406

I hope I'll find time to review current state of research in this interesting field. At last my expertise will be maybe able to help me in questions about myself Wink  .

We are all different. Create your own path.

A good path is to be sure you like what you like for yourself...and not depending on another soul on earth to feel the same.

Never aspire to a definition that is not of one's own making.

Finally got to finish the complete part 1.

Some feels true but the picture painted is obviously the worse case senerio.

Any person that transitions ( or is going to ) has surely realized that the chances of keeping your CIS friends are very slim.
I would like to think most of us here are not blind or stupid.
I resent the fact she assumes most of us spend our evenings and weekends in gay bars chasing guys, prancing around in short skirts and heels.
It's also not too much of a relization to figure out that on our current path, if our wives throw us out, we will more than likely be living with or hooking up with another trans female, Beceause honestly, as a guy with breasts, our fishing pond is very small, and not well fed.

I`v read the first chapter and part of the second, and I feel the sentiment is actually well placed and almost worthy of being to be pinned here.
I found very little I could disagree with and large parts I wholeheartedly agree with although the presentation was a bit over the top in bleakness and became a little annoyingly unnecessary at times.

I`d call it a Must Read for anyone thinking about going the HRT route, and possibly even Herbs and especially BO.
