More Transsexuals-I Blame the Internet

#21

99 percrnt of the internet is pornographic.  When I started using the internet there were just pictures saved on floppy discs.  Then there were news groups.  I started looking at crossdressers and bisexual vids.  All of a sudden the movie Tootsie. And The Crying game.  People started to desire gender bending folks.

This thread has pissed me off for the longest time. And yes this is absolutely necromancy! The transgender forum here is full of bullshit and annoying shite from years ago, a lot of which would require addressing somehow. Trying to explain us away with all sorts of mumbo jumbo is absolutely dumb.

Its not the internet, its not food additives, nothing like that. Its about information, getting to know how to do, what to do, when to do. And acceptance which still to this day is total garbage, its more like surface level "acceptance", tolerance more like, but its enough. I knew something was off when I was four to six years old. I didn't have the words to describe it, there was nothing back then. I knew I was different, just didn't have information to pin point exactly how. Later I knew more, but I didn't know I can make a change and fix my body. Now I do, thanks to the internet. Without all this endless information on everything, I would still be in the closet not truly knowing what's wrong with me not fitting to what I was forced into.

I see this sort of stuff thrown around by trans hating phobes all the time. Like its some grand conspiracy, a fad, a trend. Fuck that shite! Kids today dare to make the difference, grab the problem by the horn and fix it early. They're just like us, I was like one of the trans youth of today, I just didn't have the amazing trove of information they have and no knowledge on how to deal with it.

This talk about it all being a trend kinda pisses me off, I've heard it too many times that we're supposedly a "new" thing, bullshit, we've always been around. Finally its all being really talked about, things are given visibility and so on. Which I think is a mixed bag, I would rather have more chance to stealth and be just another woman out there which most of the time does work. But if every average Joe and Jane knows how to clock a trans woman, that messes it all up and the bar for fitting in goes higher and higher. We're already required to be so much more fem than cis women, let alone with more people being able to "read" into it. Passing in past was easier. Everything else was worse.

And its not the internet, its the availability of information. Rolleyes
