A week? It'll take a little longer to start noticing some kind of results. In most cases you're looking at about 3-4 months.
In my case, I started noticing a little pain and tingleing behind the nipples and more sensitivety to shock like running down stairs, driving on bumpy roads and knocking them, with the hand or arm. I started feeling these things before I noticed some growth. The growth isn't a heck of alot but it's a slow process and one has to keep this in mind when doing NBE. The phyto-estrogens take longer to work than pharmaceutical estrogens.
I hope this helps and good luck. :-)

Ps. I've doing NBE continously for 5 months now. They do have a little puffyness to them.
I've done some NBE before the 5 months but not as continuous as I am now.

One inch in one week? Are you sure you've measured right both times? NBE can't work that fast. One inch in a month is possible but not in a week.

You could be experiencing some temporary swelling due to massage or something of that sort. I'm not sure, but You could have shocked your system with the high dose of fenugreek which could of caused the swelling. Usually growing that quick can cause you to stall down the road and once you stall, it's hard to get back on track again. Fenugreek is an excellent herb for NBE and there is lots of proof out there that it can cause breast growth. I've also read articles that say you can get some quick results using fenugreek but after a few weeks everything that you gained can go back to normal. (whatever thats supposed to mean?)
Anyways,I believe that you could of had somewhat of a gain but I also think it could be temporary. I don't want to sound negative but I also don't want you to get disappointed and start stressing over it. :-) (stress not good for NBE) take care!

thanks everyone for your replies my body has always responded very quickly to medicines, foods, viruses and anything else that could effect it. that does sound like a lot in a week but i measured 3 times! i did forget to mention, i have been massaging the hell out of my breasts with progesterone cream. after that has soaked in, i continue massaging with olive oil.

I guess, I think, I started NBE around early to mid Jan of this year. Bear in mind, I already had gyn from years of stomach meds. It was somewhat noticeable but at the time I could usually get away with wearing a white T-shirt. No more.
I went from a little "nippage" to very obvious female tits. No way to wear a white T-shirt anymore, no way to wear a tight shirt of any kind anymore. It's *that* obvious.
And they aren't likely to be mistaken for "moobs", it's plain to see, they are feminine tits and nothing else. There's an obvious hormonal thing going on with me.
And it's not just the tits, I'm feminizing in the rest of my body too.
I've noticed that I've lost a few inches in my waist and I've made no change in my diet or eating patterns, habits or amounts. I don't have a scale but I'm sure I have not lost any weight, I've probably put on a few pounds, it's just that it's all moving around to places it never was before. My body isn't putting all it's efforts into just building boobs, it's putting all it's efforts into using the new hormones to rebuild and redistribute and shift things around in the way that the hormones demand that it be.
I suppose if one were to use ONLY a topical agent applied to the breasts, one could achieve some degree of NBE but have a minimal effect on the rest of the body. In other words, have girly tits on a male body.
By taking the herbs internally the entire body WILL be affected.
I've been pouring gas on the fire by taking large doses of PE and using the progesterone cream. I'm using the cream only on my left tit for now because it's smaller than the right side and I want them to be a nice matched pair, you know?
As this thing gas progressed I can see now that it's going to be a long time getting where I want to be. Over the past few months I've come to the conclusion that I must finish what I start and I am going to go all the way with it. A few years from now, I may finish it up with SRS surgery. I would like very much to end up there but that's at least a few years down the road still. But even if I never do end up having the surgery, at least I'll have a feminine body to match what's inside, me.
So, at abotu 5 months, I've made very obvious progress but I still want to go much, much further. I'll just deal with it as it happens.

if we want to be "natural" about it, it has to be one day at a time. or...just spend thousands and thousands of dollars on plastic surgery. then you could look like a porn star.

NO thanks on the pornstar look. The fake implants can come out any time.
Doing it this way, it's forever baby! I'll take natural tits over fake tits anyday. I wouldn't even do it if that were the only option.
That's about the same as putting vinyl siding on an old house. It looks good but underneath, it's still the same old house.
I'm taking the house down to the foundations and totally remodeling it.
Of course in my case, I have no desire to be "a guy with tits", it's my desire and goal to correct the problem of having been born in the wrong body.
Doing NBE causes ALL of my body, every single cell to become influenced if not changed by my new hormones.
Out with the T and in with the E..

You said that you gained an inch but didn't see any difference to look at? On a lot of people an inch of growth would be really obvious. I can't help wondering if your measuring was accurate.

I think in all fairness, it should be remembered that this is a man's body, and so the chest area would be shaped slightly different to start off with making it much harder to see growth. Female breasts have a diffinent cone shape, where as male breasts would have a far wider and flatter surface of breast area. Does this make sence? what I am trying to say? I think on a man's body it would be alot harder to actually see one inch growth. Steff measured 3 times, across the nipples straight around the back, right Steff thats how you measured?

Nell,
Sadly, one of the problems that we encounter is that our bodies are suffering from years of testosterone poisoning.
In my case I wasn't fortunate enough to have been born in the proper body and it was poisoned and corrupted over the years.
I can tell you that when I take my shirt off or even if I had on a tight fitting T-shirt, it would be obvious to anyone that I've got female breasts, they are still a long way from being "proper"..
When we do this, we are actually going through a second puberty and fighting to undo years of damage.
One has to think about the fact that it takes young girls a few years to develop mature breasts.
Mine, while obviously feminine, are still immature and would appear to be about the same as you would expect on a young girl that's just entering puberty because, well, that's exactly what's going on here. If a man were to look at my chest he would flip out, scream "OMFG YOU'VE GOT TITS!" and have heart failure. If a woman were to look at my chest she would just think "eh, little girly tits, you have a long way to go honey...."
I think that at least in my case, I'm pretty sure it's going to take a few years for mine to really get where I want to be. That's ok though, to transition to full on female in under a year is going to fast for me, I plan a full transition but done slowly over time so that the changes are small and that people will adjust to my changes a little easier.
