Well most of the stitches fell out, theres like 2-3 left so thats good

FUCK its still sore though, I cant seem to sleep very well unless I get plastered and then I dont really even sleep anyway

I thought it was getting better but the numbness is WORSE than ever this morning even though the swelling seems better

Yes Im starting to have regrets now worrying I might end up like this permanently or possibly for YEARS... That in my mind wouldn't be worth it

Ice and massage seems to help with the swelling but nothing seems to help the numbness and loss of feeling...

The numbness is all along my lower jaw and chin, up to my upper and lower lips and even the end of my nose... also my entire forehead except for right in the middle where the feeling thats there is strange and unpleasant... Most of the top of my head behind the scar is numb and its the same behind the facelift scars... That means my ears and the area behind them is very numb as well...

My lips are getting better but from the start my upper lip has seemed bigger in the left side and Im worried that will be permanent... This is REALLY no fun

Hi EvaMarie,

Have faith on the numbness. I was involved in a bad accident where my head impacted an immovable object at a good rate of speed resulting in a trilateral break to my face and a trip to the Hospital. The numbness to my face did not totally go away for a few weeks.

I wish you the best of luck, and that all of the numbness goes away.

OUCH Paul, thanks for the encouragement I donno all this pain just seems unbearable at times and the fucked up thing is I did it all to myself!!!

Whats scaring me is Ive had small injuries that have caused numbness and loss of sensation and it took YEARS to regain it...

One time I accidentally put a knife right through my hand and that resulted in loss of movement and sensation in my little pinky like it was "asleep" for 2 years...

As you often state, Eva, you are not a very patient person. But, patience is what you need right now. It takes a year or more to fully heal. That's something you have to expect and accept. The swelling will recede in much less time, though, and until all the swelling is gone, you shouldn't make any judgments about how you are going to look. I'm sure you will be very happy with the results. It's not uncommon, however, to have to go back for some adjustments. That's especially true when you have so much done at once. It's always best to give your soft tissues time to adjust to the new shape of your bones before altering them.

Mandible and chin reshaping is the most intrusive and painful of all FFS procedures. I was advised to not undertake either given how little improvement it would make in my appearance. Reading your accounts of the swelling and pain involved, I think I've made the right decision.

I'm very appreciative of your keeping me in the loop on your experiences. It helps me to know about the difficulties that I may face in recovery. I know that I should expect many of the same feelings as you. My FFS will take place in just a month. I'm feeling calm about it, but at the same time excited, and feeling good about my choice of surgeons.

I remember when you first came to BN as LittleMissS, I was in awe of how courageously you set out to transition to female. I followed your progress everyday and began to see the possibilities for myself. You literally showed me the pathway to becoming my true self. Now, I'm barely a month behind you. I really don't think I could have progressed so far, so fast, without the benefit of your example. All I can say to you is THANK YOU. We both have a long way to go still, and I wish you all the best on the road ahead.

Hey Clara, Thanks Sis Thinking about feeling this messed up for a year or more is pretty depressing I know Im only 10 days post op and thats nothing really when talking about recovery from such a highly invasive surgery... I also know it should get a lot better over the next month but still it REALLY sucks Yes the jaw and chin work is the worst, it fucking brutal...

I was also very calm going into this and maybe a little too indifferent to just what I was getting into!!! As far as revisions go I can see there's a chance I might need to tweak a couple of things... I know I need to be patient and realize I need to wait at least 6 months before id even be able to consider doing any revisions...

Yes your lucky your not gonna do the jaw and chin, the rest isnt pleasant but its not as bad... Your gonna a be fine but Im glad I can show you it might no be easy or pleasant....

As far as my transition goes I knew I was in it for good by the time I took my first dose of PM and signed up here... Theres simply no other alternative for me... Id rather be dead than pretend to be a man again As impatient as I am Im sometimes jolted into appreciation of just how far Ive come in such a short time It wasnt long ago I was just a miserable dude dreaming of all this and I had no way of knowing at the time how it would all turn out.... As I move along though the stakes get higher and higher with these surgerys.... As much as I want the next one with Brassard its pretty hard to even think about even more self inflicted trauma and pain right now!!!

Your forehead and brow lift look very nice (can you show us a profile shot?), and I love how he shortened your upper lip. Hey thanks Clara Im just all emo and a mess now I guess but Im sure once the swelling goes down Im gonna like it... Just not feeling pretty at all right now

Im here alone and its hard to take a profile pic but here's a couple... Its a pretty big change on my brow bone from before...





My chin and jaw are driving me nuts.... My chin is just protruding WAY too far here Im not sold on the lip lift either... Ive always had a pretty big overbite and it just seems to exaggerate it... Some of that is from my still swollen lip though I hope... Otherwise Im happy with it....

This is an older profile pic... Its hard to find any but it kinda shows how big my brow was before... My forehead slopes back pretty steep and it looks like he tried to make it a little straighter but there's only so much that can be done there....

If anything I could see having that huge chin reduced more in the future but I gotta wait and hope it shrinks down before I can think about that... You can see from that older pic that he did shorten it a bit but it dont look like he did much to take out the protrusion... Either way it has to eventually end up smaller after taking off bone...

Also I can see my "adams apple" now and Im considering doing more work on my voice, CTA/trachea shave and possibly chin reduction with MAYBE some work on my eyelids to tighten them up too... I know I lnow i gotta be fucking NUTS to even think about that right now and frankly its scaring me... WTF
