They've probably become a bit more noticeable to you as you are now tuned in to them! 
I was a bit self conscious of mine a few days ago at the pool as it's the first time that I've been that exposed in public. The reality though is that they for the most part don't look much different than some of the men I saw that day. Now give it a few more months that might be a different story....
