Yes, I saw that bit about Seville oranges. Worrying, because Seville orange marmalade is an important part of my cultural background. I think it also implicated Mineolas, a favourite of my wife's. Also I am myself very keen on pomelos which are closely related to grapefruit. The US originating pink pomelos in particular may I think in fact pomelo/pink grapefruit crosses. Somewhere else I saw the problem broadened to citrus fruit in general, but there are contrary statements that orange juice has no effect. Perhaps the lesson is 'moderation in all things'. A few years back I used to swill large amounts of OJ first thing in the morning under the impression it was 'healthy' and I think it was responsible for making me prediabetic for a time and thus together with CVI for my peripheral neuropathy. I treat it and other concentrated sources of rapidly assimilable carbs with much more restraint these days, and avoid it and them first thing or on its own or at the beginning of a meal. I'm a convert to trying to avoid excessive glycemic loads. Not directly on topic I know, but bad dietary habits can't be helpful in NBE.
Thanks again - keep well!
