I would submit that MTA, or pre-op/no-op MTF is still transgender. Once there is GD or GID variance and someone has started to take hormones, get surgeries, make other major or permenant physiological changes to find balance and peace is where I'd say the "line" for trans or not is. As one of the non-binary/androgyne folks here, think outside the binary, don't just invalidate it (us). Some will have the goal of full MTF or MTF with bottom surgeries, some will not.

But ignoring the offensiveness of "chicks with dicks", I agree that it symantically it does seem reversed.
