Hi POM, conversion is the synthesis of free testosterone to estrogen, E2 estradiol through the testosterone pathway as shown in the diagrams, so yes it promotes. DHEA can also convert through the androstenedione pathway to E1 estrone, another estrogen (weaker than E1, as seen in post menopause).
