A few hours ago, I saw a guy wearing a long plaid skirt at the store walking with a girl.

Um... I believe that's called a kilt, and if he heard you call it a skirt, he'd probably punch you in the throat.

No, it WASN'T a kilt, it was plaid midi skirt. It wasn't a tartan, just an ordinary light-brown-ish plaid. Most kilts I've ever seen are red, green or blue. Kilts are very pleated and pressed and dressy and they wear knee socks with them and, generally, a suit jacket. This guy had on a baseball cap, a white t-shirt and sneakers! He doesn't look to me to be the kind to punch me for calling it a skirt and I kinda doubt very many Scotts would. Besides, a kilt IS a skirt.
