Seems that if the balance of certain genes in the ovaries or testes is pushed far enough to the other side they can switch function. Just a theory at the moment, but could enough BO material get through your digestive system, get placed in the testes and cause their function to switch into ovary mode? The involved genes apparently are common to most vertebrate species so, Maybe?
I was doing some searching on the internet and found several articles involving this kind of research, mostly done in the last five years or so. Still could not find any articles that would prove my theory, but I'm no geneticist either so most of them were over my head.
