I'm what is called a Non-responder, which means I get almost no benefit from exercise, which sucks.
Going to waffle a bit here.
I started working hard at losing weight at the start of the year and was getting nowhere fast. After talking with Huggy I started to do a bit more in-depth research (thanks Huggy!) and put together a plan that included Green Tea with a slice of lemon.
I also did (well still do) 3 minutes of HIT (High Intensity Training) each week. This number is VERY important, as when I was doing HIT every day it hindered my weight loss. The body needs time between each session to work its magic. One minute 3 days a week, broken down into three 20 second bursts at maximum capacity.
The GT and HIT worked very well together, and I managed something that had never happened for me before, my belly went down! I lost about 3 inches in 1 month. I also greatly cut down on the amount of processed food I was eating, which is important for anyone struggling to shed the pounds (or for good health in general). I should also point out that this was a month where I was sick and unable to exercise for at least 2 weeks.
HIT won’t suit everyone, and if you have a pre-existing medical condition get a medical examination before you start.
Also, walking can more than double your metabolic rate. I tend to just use the exercise bike for 10 - 15 minutes of moderate pedalling twice a day when not doing the HIT to get that.
Sorry for all that, but while GT is helpful, more is needed to get real results. With the right knowledge weight loss can be far less difficult than most believe.
