Bunny, you are not alone. Some time back I had posted a thread concerning the same thing. over time, the pluming tends to want to be another type of plumbing 
.
Panty liners are a good choice for saving your undies from getting soaked,as well as your pants. (saves for some embarrassing taunting).
Also too, its just another reinforcement of what womanhood is all about.
I am sure in time, it will be a non-embarrassing issue to go to store and purchase them for yourself.(unless there is a really hot guy , who is the cashier). that might just make you a bit uneasy.
