I think you hit the nail on the head with cost now that I have not one, but two complete wardrobes to keep stocked, it can start to get a tad expensive, ( That's before we add in makeup and wigs and bras )
As for price, most of the places were I shop are the same for male or female clothes. Sure, I could go for some nice designer dresses at $300, but thats not for me. I do my shopping at bargin basement stores. Giant tiger ( Canadian Kmart type store ) walmart, and old navy. You would be surprised on how nice some $14.99 blouses can be, even nicer when they also include a cheap necklace.
Kmart and Walmart is where I look for bra's. I figure, until I get where I want to go size and body wise, I would rather throw away a $10 bra than a $30 one. Old Navy has great fitting jeans, but never seen many blouses that I would wear as I am not in public yet.
I have gotten some decent pieces from Goodwill and Salvation Army thrift stores. For many of the reasons I stated above. But still, maintaining 2 complete wardrobes is at best though and money wise as hard.
