Since the year I moved to London from a small and small minded town in Italy I decided to ve open with my SO about my crossdressing.
I had three GFs in London, one of which became my current wife. When I was flat sharing I used to dress up at home almost every day, so my heels and dresses were everywhere. I just didn't want to hide any more and I would always carry a couple of pictures of me dressed up in my phone. Before they'd come to my place I would show them the pics to test their reaction. If they had a problem with it, I would just stop seeing them.
At least that was the plan, because none of them ever had a problem. Actually, they were intrigued and they asked me to show them my clothes the first time they visited.
Essentially, my wife saw me dressed before becoming my long term partner. She only saw me fully dressed in person when we had a party at home a few weeks after, and she was ok with it, but I had to take my make up off before doing anything intimate.
