When I first read this piece yesterday evening, I started to think" Yes I can relate to that" but then as I got further in, my hackles started to rise and I thought " No, thats not right". I did actually draft quite an aggressive reply but on overnight reflection I've dumped that!
I think it has to be seen as something written within the 'sissy' community for sissies and thus probably does not apply or relate to a huge majority of other TG folk. Although as I said, I can relate to many although not all of the items, and not necessarily in the same order or timescales and not as discrete stages.
Personally I have fundemental objections to the word 'sissy', which may in part be age related. When I was young, a British 'Stiff Upper Lip' was to be desired and the word sissy was an insult thrown at a small boy who, for instance, cried if he fell and hurt himself, etc, ..."Don't be such a sissy!!" . Plus, rightly or wrongly, nowadays I see an adult Sissy as being a male who likes to be "forced" to wear frilly pink tutu's, etc. For me, I like to dress as nicely but as inconspicuously as possible, to blend in as a woman, not to stand out as being odd.
Having said all that, I have to admit that Pansy does have a bit of a submissive streak and I get a bit of a kick on the the somewhat rare occasions when my wife says she wants me to do something, rather ask "Will I do her a favour and get her xxx". I rather suspect that this is consistent with my natural inclination throughout life to be 2nd in command. I was never totally comfortable with being in sole charge of a project, but when my boss told me what needed to be done I was perfectly happy then to work out how to do it and get everyone else on board to get it done properly.
Just my two penn'orth, not intended to hurt or disparage anyone. Whatever floats your boat...
