Welcome to the forum!
In regards to hormones vs. HRT, I think it depends. If you're looking to transition, I think hormones would be your better bet, however, I think it's best to take hormones under a doctor's supervision. PM I think is more suited for those with mild to moderate levels of gender dysphoria. I've spent a fair amount of time on PM. Other members on the forum have experience with taking hormones.
As to what to do, what are your end goals? If you're just looking to test the waters so to speak, I suggest giving PM a chance and go from there. If transitioning is your goal, I recommend working with the medical profession on achieving that goal. Perhaps you can communicate via phone or video conference with the clinic in Berlin for consultation/talk therapy and get the hormones through your local doctor? (I've never lived in Europe so I'm not sure what your treatment options are).
Hey flamesabers,
thanks for the response & help! Yes, i want to transition so badly since i finally accepted my faith. I've lived this male role for way too long, and i cant stand it anymore. BTT: I was thinking that too, that a doc would be better, because he can check blood, liver and so on before the HRT....but it seems to be a long road with some hurdles.
The video or phone option is a great idea! On the other hand i kind-of like that the therapeut dont has experience with this topic, because i dont have either. Also he might be able to consult that specialist if he needs a second opinion or additional infos...idk. Anyway: tomorrow i'll call the PIA and hopefully i got my first appointment sooner than in Berlin (i heard there are really long waiting lists).
Regarding the payment of it all: it will get paid by Health Insurance, IF i can live in the desired gender for 12-24 months (24/7) without any surgery or hormones. Its called "Alltagstest" (everyday test). I am not 100% sure, maybe you can get the HRT getting started before that test.
