Sounds like a good start, don't forget to record measurements and take photos. It will help in future if you try to take pictures at the same angle each time.
I hope you do get budding within the 4 weeks but it may take as much as 3 months from the start, so don't get too despondant if it takes longer than your hoped for 4 weeks.
