Love music, have lost music, mourned music and now (thankfully) rekindling my love of it.
Let me explain......
I alwys remember my mam playng music when I was a nipper usually Beatles and whatever was in the charts (late 60's/early70's). This is what got me into music and as grew up steadily falling your all genres, from the simple 3-minute pop stuff, 2-tone, scar, rock, electronica, mod, new wave, etc etc.
Basically, didn't matter what genre it was if I like the tune, or the lyrics I liked, simple as that.
Lots of friends followed specific bands and fashions but I just mixed up the lot, my mam always said I was never one for following the crowd

Throughout my adult life the love has grown from strength to strength, the fact that music takes you on a journey through so many emotions.
Then a few years ago in just a few days I was suddenly and profoundly deaf!
Sound gone completely from my life!
I now have a cochlear implant so now have a sense of hearing, but it has been a very long and very steep uphill learning curve, having to relearn the art of listening to a new mono-electronic undertone world I now find myself in.
I gave up on music, it was devastating to lose something to close to me.
Thankfully, I am now managing to rediscover a new found enjoyment from some of my music, many old favourites just don't sound the same, some of the old ok ones are turning into new faves. The simple fact music will never be the same for me but its finding that new way of enjoying what I can hear.
So my list really should be two, pre & post deafness, but I''l just list them as i think of them, so in no particular order, hear goes, enjoy the memories
