But RR has bunch of health benefits and when dosed right, seemingly no unwanted side effects so you likely wont be hurt by taking it anyway. I have been thinking if I should start it again as I came off of cypro completely. I have nothing specifically suppressing T right now as I figured I should not need any. But reishi could be good to take anyway, its not gonna do anything bad.I wonder if the theory of addign an AA like reshi is to block the DHT as it can't be aromotised, there for blockign it will in theory give more free testosterone for the aromatase to do its thing?
This is what I've been wondering about as BO is said to convert T to E... Interesting little anecdote, I stopped cyproterone acetate (Androcur) fifteen days ago, it has rather long half life, if I remember about one week, knowing my metabolism to be on the fast side, I have likely less than one quarter of it in my body right now. I have not experienced any of the typical rising T symptoms which for me have been quite easy to notice. Also no withdrawal which cypro might also do, that is said to show up as "fake" T spike. But my dosage was quite low 12,5mg/day so its not much. In the same time, both my bust and hips grew about the same as I got in the previous fifteen days... I'm in a big time growth spurt right now and dropping cypro seems to have ZERO effect on the changes. The only possible difference has been my mood as I've had some extremely dysphoric days with lot of mood swings.
But so far just from reading my body, what is said about BO being able to suppress T, seems to hold true. I suspect my T has been quite well suppressed already, but I was expecting something to slow down when I drop cypro, nope, nothing what so ever and body changes happening as before if not faster.
But the point about Red Reishi is that afaik it suppresses/removes DHT while leaving free testosterone mostly untouched, in a similar fashion that several conventional T blockers function. So taking it should work ok along with BO.
