You're basically looking to change the nature of who you are, which will change the nature of the relationship with your wife. Personally I don't think it's fair to your wife to take this course without letting her know what you're doing and why, and let her have the opportunity to decide if she's comfortable with those changes and if she wants to remain with you. You're heading into a storm whether you tell her now, or hide what you're doing and she figures it out later; the storm is more survivable being honest up front, than it is by lying through deception to her for months or years.
