only about 2-5% of testosterone is bioactive (that's the free T [testosterone] @ 2-5% that's available for synthesis). The rest of T @ 95% just kinda lingers around, that's called an unbound fraction, lol like nothing to see here... so let's move on. But, that 2-5% can wreak havoc in tissues via DHT, most notably prostate cancer.
If you think you'll need WP because you have a higher bioavailable free T (say more towards 4-5%) and or extra signs of DHT (excess body hair) then I'd say "go for it".
