Note to those who follow:

Some UK banks will only allow money transfers to countries that are on the SWIFT payment system; also some have black-lists, organisations they will refuse transfers, you won't find-out if the recipient is on a black-list until you try to do a transfer. My bank (Nationwide) is proving to be a real pain in the .... 

Took over half an hour and involved at least four members of staff just to find-out about only supporting SWIFT payments.

OK... I must be missing something here.
When I ordered, they gave me a SWIFT/BIC for the bank, plus account number and beneficiary name. These are the 3 standard details needed for an international bank transfer.
If Nationwide has a problem with Vanuatu then I don't know how to help, but from my home banking interface (on Barclays) the payment went smoothly.
Make sure you don't try to do a SEPA payment, as that only works in Europe.
