One thing I have no really seen much on here is how it affects other issues like diabetes or other things that can be controlled or even cured by diet and exercise.
I know steroids can cause diabetes over time. It is shown that a few hours after taking testosterone it will raise the blood sugar.
After stopping use of testosterone products in April I had a primary care visit and my blood work came back saying I was pre diabetic, even though I don't show any signs or symptoms of being diabetic. I eat pretty clean most of the time, I'm in the gym 5-6 days a week, I'm doing cardio that gets my heart rate up 4-5 days week. So this was some what of a surprise to me.
I know testosterone products can make your blood thicker and show elevated liver enzymes cause by having thicker blood but I was not expecting the pre diabetic thing. Not sure if my blood sugar was elevated due to the years of using steroids or if I did.some damage and I need to work on my blood sugar through my nutrition before it gets into the diabetic ranges.
Anyways my question is does anyone know if nbe helps with blood sugar levels or diabetes? Thanks.
I am a type 2 diabetic. I was diagnosed about 7 years ago when my gall bladder decided it didn't like me anymore. I was prescribed Metformin aka Metfartin. I took it for 30 days and had enough of that. I have been able to control my diabetes with diet and exercise and have been med free for years. Last year I felt off and went to the Dr. My A1C was 7.6 and he of course wanted to put me back on meds. I did 30 days again working on changing my diet and adding a bit more exercise. My last A1C was 6.3 so back to no meds.
I have low testosterone and had tried TRT and the benefits just didn't seem to be there so I stopped. Then the journey into NBE started. I wasn't seeing results and figured ti didn't have enough testosterone for my body to convert. I had read that Fenugreek could increase T and lower blood sugar. I added FG to my regimen and that's when I started noticing results in the breast growth.
I just had my A1C checked and it was 6.1 so I would say it hasn't hurt and has quite possibly helped in both T and BS for me.
Hope this helps!
