The best thing about HRT is that the estrogen is bio identical. With stuff like BO, at least it's a natural estrogen, whether it's human or not. With plants, it's a phyto estrogen, humans have evolved/adapted to not care too much about them or at least not die from them.
These chemical estrogens that are being put into the environment are called xenoestrogens. They are weird errant chemicals that, while not designed like an estrogen molecule, can often flick that cellular estrogen switch, the receptor. Problem is, sometimes it doesn't break right after use, maybe turning into free radicals that damage cellular organs and cell DNA. Sometimes it doesn't break at all. It hits that one cells estrogen receptor multiple times, either causing bad stuff like cancer or just the downregulation of E receptors, making your NBE regimen actually less effective. It varies based on the chemical, but it's almost never good to get your estrogens from the plastics and chemicals that have unfortunately become commonplace in society.
And also, some guys just don't want boobs. I'll never understand them fully, but that doesn't matter, I get feeling bad about your body, feeling that it's not living up to your ideal self. So yeah, I'm generally pretty against all of those environmental estrogens. We're better off without em.
