I can offer my personal experience as that's pretty much all I have, there doesn't seem to be much studies to quote on this one, but some speculation and anecdotes exist. And my experience does which is quite amazing on the glandular therapy in general.
The only thing I can think of that has changed my hips this much aisde from fat distribution is glandulars, ovary and uterus glandular especially. Interestingly the location of the bones seem to stay almost as near to the skin despite of weight gain, only way I can explain this is pelvic tilt changing and hips opening/widening which at my age should be impossible. My hips have widened since the beginning of HRT (three and half years) for 9,5", all while everything feels like before, just massively wider.
My friend Melissa found some anecdotes on this and we speculated that uterine glandular might be mimicing relaxin or E4 and that could help explain the hips opening and ending up permanently wider, but this is all speculation, but my body changes seem to prove it, at least that something has done this and it shouldn't be possible when starting at thirty seven. Keep in mind that I'm not a run off the mill XY dude, my body is a bit strange and everything points towards an intersex condition, but the thing with uterine glandular is interesting, there are some anecdotes speculating this kind of effect, but I might well be an anomaly.
