I've used Purafem. I don't consider it "bad", it's just that it's an extract.

Probably best to go for a raw ground root powder in capsule, as you've been told.

The ones I've used on ebay are: Pueraria Mirifica UK, and Pure Miracle, and earth_magic's capsules.
Loei if you can find it maybe. That one seems to be direct from Thailand but I found it once or twice on ebay.
