I am confused as to the dose of HRT Oestrogel pump pack should I take, over the months I have gone from 2 pumps to 4 pumps, and now I have some side effects.

Extreme gas and bowels playing up, I cannot find on the internet or this forum what is the ideal amount to take, also what I have read nearly all suggestions contradict each other.

Today I have gone back down to 3, I am even thinking about doing 2 pumps, I also take 5mg Finateride for BPH (prostate)
Anyone got any advice.
