I have to say, the Weil article is poorly written, especially the section where he talks about butea superba. In the very next sentence he talks about leaving Viagra alone and taking the "above tonic instead". As I read that section, I am unclear if the liver toxicity is from the Viagra or the b. superba. I haven't read much by Weil, but I am surprised at the writing in this article.

Use no more than two or three capsules of Butea Superba, depending upon your weight, height, and age, no more than once or twice per month, and only on a very occasional basis. "
