My understanding is that there are currently no herbal sources of true progesterone being sold, only precursors that the human body cannot convert (without the aid of a chem lab). So the wild yam etc won't do any harm except to your finances. All the recommendations I've seen are to wait until Estrogen growth has finished before adding Progesterone, which should not be synthetic, but micronised natural progesterone.

PS the only known herbal source of P is the walnut, and it's very early days.
