Yeah, if you have the money on hand to buy in bulk, it's usually worth it. I'm thinking about getting the 500 gram container of powder next time, myself.
Actually i'll be ordering the 500 gram for now (well tomorrow [payday] anyway), will order more to stock up later on as I can afford it.
