Just thought I'd throw in some experiences. I have suffered from backache in the past, but it tends to happen when I take a dose at bedtime. Since it manifests around the kidney area, I thought it might be because I'm taking the pills just before I go 6-8 hours without drinking anything. I've actually taken 5g on several occasions as 5 x (2 x 500mg) at 3 hr intervals from 8am - 8pm with no ill effects apart from a growth spurt! ;-) (not an ill effect to most readers) Finishing at 8pm give it tie to flush out of my kidneys before bedtime (I'm assuming)... at least, doing it that way means far fewer back symptoms.

This makes sense. Even if I didn't experience any side-effects, I would still hesitate taking as high a dose as 5,000 mg. At that rate, I would be going through one Ainterol pm bottle in just ten days!
